THE BEAN DIP

can of refried beans
sour cream
shredded cheese
tomatoes
green onions
doritos or regular tortilla chips

Spread the beans on a platter or large plate followed by the sour cream. Next the shredded cheese and tomatoes and green onions. Simple and Delicious!

Spinach Dip - A Thanksgiving Day Favorite

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (can use light)
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (1.8 ounce) package dry Knorr leek soup mix (or Vegetable)
  • 1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 6 or so green onions

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, dry leek soup mix, water chestnuts and chopped spinach. Chill in the refrigerator 6 hours, or overnight...or just an hour or so if you're in a hurry! 
  2.  Serve with sourdough bread, Triscuits, Wheat Thins, vegetables, etc.

Delicious Deviled Eggs*

Ingredients
·         6 eggs, hard boiled, cooled, and peeled
·          2 tablespoons mayonnaise
·         1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
·         1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
·         1 teaspoon finely chopped chives
·         Hot pepper sauce
·         Paprika
·         Salt and pepper  
          Variation: add 1 teaspoon chopped canned jalapeno peppers
4        radicchio leaves, for garnish
     3 parsley sprigs, for garnish
Directions
Place the cooked egg yolks in a bowl. Using a fork, work the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, chives, and salt and pepper into the yolks to form a smooth paste. Taste. Place 1/2 of this mixture in a small pastry bag with a large star tip. To the remaining mixture, add the jalapenos and season with Hot pepper sauce. Fill 6 of the egg halves with the basic filling. Fill the pastry bag with the jalapeno filling. Fill the remaining egg white halves. Top with paprika. Place on a platter on the radicchio leaves, and parsley sprigs.

Cranberry Pecan Cream Cheese Ball - Always on our Thanksgiving Hors d'Oeuvres List

8 oz. cream cheese
1 T. orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup finely chopped sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
and more chopped, toasted pecans to roll the ball in

Mix the above ingredients, except the extra pecans and form into a ball. Refrigerate and then roll in the extra toasted pecans to coat. Serve with Wheat Thins or other crackers.
